Today is the first day of school in Bulgaria

15 September is the first school day in Bulgaria.

60,000 first-graders, 12,000 of whom in Sofia will enter classrooms for the first time. The number of school children who will start the new school year in the country today is 700,000. Even though there are teacher vacancies across Bulgaria, Education Minister Krasimir Valchev expects a normal start to the school year.
