Bulgarian Foreign Ministry advices Bulgarian citizens to refrain from travelling to Catalonia until the end of the week

Increased tension and opposition between protesters and public order bodies are expected in the remaining days of the week in the autonomous community of Catalonia and its capital Barcelona. On Friday, October 18, a general strike will be held there, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced. The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry advices the Bulgarian citizens to refrain from travelling to Catalonia before and during these events. The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs advices the Bulgarians who reside permanently there to avoid the areas of protests.
