Bulgaria makes the necessary efforts to build modern railway and road infrastructure along the East-West axis, this country’s Minister of Transport Rosen Zhelyazkov said at the Silk Road forum held Between October 21 and 23 in Tbilisi, Georgia. In Minister Zhelyazkov’s words, this would create the necessary conditions for rapid movement of people and goods in view of the increasing traffic between Europe and Asia. Minister Zhelyazkov pointed out that Bulgaria maintains active ties with the countries participating in the Silk Road project-China, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
