At a meeting in Thessaloniki with his Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borissov expressed confidence that the active bilateral cooperation will continue under the new government in Greece, with a shared wish to deepen political and economic relations.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Boyko Borissov agreed that being strategic partners, Bulgaria and Greece should maintain an open dialogue in all spheres of mutual interest.
In Thessaloniki, Boyko Borissov also held talks with Macedonian PM Zoran Zaev. He expressed concern over the division in society in North Macedonia with regard to the country’s membership of the EU, and assured Zoran Zaev of his continuing support for the latter’s efforts aimed at asserting the European perspective of North Macedonia.
