Friday, May 25, 2012 9:00 AM Radio Bulgaria Programme of the day

The Programme

Following Bulgaria’s official holiday of the Bulgarian Alphabet and Literature that we celebrated yesterday, we continue in today’s program with more festive features.

We start with an item on Bulgarian artists who have found recognition abroad, and we focus on the work of Ivan Gazdov who celebrates the 25th anniversary of the genre of graphicature that he himself invented. This “lord of the graphic element” tells RB more about his career and artistic message. Then in our occasional series on Profiles, we offer you an interview with a medic who helps new life be born.
And in our daily music show we bring you probably the most celebrated opera singer of Bulgaria and, according to some, of Europe – the amazing and unforgettable Bulgarian bass Boris Christoff. Stay with us to learn more about his remarkable life and career and of course, hear some of the pearls of his repertoire.

These are the items coming up on Radio Bulgaria’s program today - our uniquely Bulgarian panorama of stories and views from this part of the world!
