“Ruling coalition is in crisis”, Prime Minister of Macedonia Nikola Gruevski announces
The Prime Minister of Macedonia Nikola Gruevski has confirmed that the ruling coalition is in crisis. The reason behind that is the change in behavior of some members of the Democratic Union for Integration. In fact Minister of Defence Fatmir Besimi became the true reason for the political crisis after he laid a wreath at a monument in the village of Slupchani in commemoration with the perished ethnical Albanians during the 2001 conflict. The Officials in Scopie view those victims as insurgents who were fighting against the sovereignty of Macedonia.

The Greek banks are planning to make the life of the borrowers easier as they are struggling to pay off their mortgage loans. Bank officials are discussing the possibility to cut the monthly installments in half and to set the highest ones to a maximum of 30% of the total income of the borrower. They are also planning to extend the longest mortgage period from 40 to 90 years. The Greek banks have recently announced that in the last three and a half years the number of the bad loans have gone up four times to the sum of 46 billion Euros, which is a record for the Greek banking system.
Russia to give financial support to Serbia
Russia will give financial support to Serbia. Along with the loan worth 800 million USD in store for the Serbian railways the country will receive additional aid, the Russian ambassador in Belgrade Alexander Konusin has announced. He said that relations between both countries are better than ever and this is a great chance for both sides to carry out joint projects and to build Russo-Serbian enterprises outside Serbia.
UN calls on international community for stronger political presence in Kosovo
The special UN representative in Kosovo Farid Zarif has urged the international community to intensify the political presence in Kosovo. At a meeting of the UN security council Zarif said that the Un mission in Kosovo, who was launched in 1999 will make efforts to maintain the constructive dialogue in the northern part of the newly-established country, where Serbian population prevail over other ethnicities. The new Serbian government and the newly elected head of state have decided to apply all agreements in the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade, the Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dalic said at the meeting. His counterpart Hashim Thaci said that it is a priority of his government to settle the conflict with Serbia.
Former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright to participate in tender for selling of Post and Telecommunication Company of Kosovo
The former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright will participate in a tender for the selling of the Post and Telecommunication Company of Kosovo through her Albright Capital Management LLC company, Bloomberg news agency has announced. A total of five companies will bid for the Post Company. The other 4 are The Portugal Telecom Company, Columbia capital, British Telecom-Poland and Turkcell. The Post and Telecommunication Company has around 1 million mobile customers at present. This will be the second attempt of Kosovo to sell the company after the failure last year when the deal was blocked due to corruption investigation.
Kazakhstan citizen attempts to emigrate in Western Europe on hand made raft
Kazakhstan citizen tried to emigrate in Western Europe on a hand made raft. The person was captured by border police on river Danube at the border between Bulgaria and Romania, the newspaper Evanimentul Zilei has announced. His trip though ended with a trial on the grounds of illegal crossing of the state border and was later handed over to the Bulgarian authorities.
