On Radio Bulgaria you will listen to the debut album of pop singer Aksinia. It was released four years after the first and only season of the reality music show “Star Academy”. The young singer didn’t succeed to finish the show, but proved herself as a singer and became one of the audience’s favorite participants. Aksinia hasn’t stopped her professional growth for the past few years and has published several singles. Listen now to the song that has entitled her debut album: “The New Cinderella”.
Just like most of her colleagues, Aksinia works with talented musicians from her generation. In her last project she gathered Dani Milev, Miro, Stoyan Mihalev, the PRO-X studio, Zheni Djambazova, The Count, Ivailo Valchev, Vania Shtereva and many other distinguished musicians, writers and arrangers.
The album contains 11 songs and presents Aksinia as an artist. Everything in it – from the songs to the design is light, merry and funny as a style. Listen now to another song from the album – the ballad “Two Faces”.
One of the singles – “The New Cinderella” has an English version too, named “Striptease”. There are two remixes in the album – of the songs “You Lose” and “Two Faces” – the one that we have just heard. The original of the first song counts on “beat” rhythm. The singer’s entire style is disco-pop, but sometimes she works very skillfully with mixed techno sounds. We will hear another song of Aksinia – “Baby”. The lyrics were written by the singer herself, while the music and the arrangement belong to Dani Milev. He has used a string quartet and the percussions of Kalin Veliov in it.
