Turkey is sixth biggest economic partner of EU

Turkey is the sixth biggest economic partner of the European Union, which means it is connected more to the Union than some of its members, said Turkish ambassador to Sofia, Mehmet Gucuk, in a lecture organised by the Atlantic Club in Bulgaria. According to the ambassador, Turkish investments in Bulgaria amount to 1.3 billion dollars, aimed at the producing sector. The energy sector is one of the major spheres of cooperation between Bulgaria and Turkey, the ambassador pointed out.
