Bulgarian success in European contest

The 5th contest entitled “Information and Communication Technologies” coordinated by the Ministry of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications ended with the excellent achievement of Bulgarian participants. Eleven Bulgarian organizations and companies have been included in 10 approved proposals with a sponsorship of EUR 2 490 000. These projects would be contracted by the European Commission. They are expected to be given a start within a month’s time. The contest was organized under the Seventh Framework Programme of the European community for scientific research and technological development. This programme is the largest financial instrument of the EU aimed at changing the concept of European research space and strengthening the leading position of the European Union on a global scale.
