Aid raising campaign for Pakistan floods

Bulgaria’s Red Cross and the Ministry of Interior are launching a national fund raising campaign for Pakistan’s flood victims. Some 20 million people have been affected by the disaster, which has left the country with a pressing need for water treatment systems and shelters for the injured. In the words of Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bulgaria Kausar Ahsan Iqbal, the riskiest group of the population are the children. Epidemics are already spreading and have taken hundreds of child lives, the UN warned.
