Bulgaria not source of insecurity in European economy

Bulgaria is not a source of insecurity for the European economy, and the European Commission is optimistic about this country’s economic recovery. This was the message aired by the Bulgarian National Radio that came from the EC Spokesman for Economic and Monetary Affairs Amadeu Altafaj in connection with summarized data about the state of the EU economy in the second trimester of 2010, released by EUROSTAT. Concerning Bulgaria, the EC spokesman said that the Bulgarian economy was catching up. Figures for the country are still not positive on 2009 data, but its economy has improved compared to the previous trimester. Bulgaria has a long way to go in catching up, but this will be largely up to external demand allowing the country and the entire EU economy to recover faster, said Amadeu Altafaj and added the European Commission was optimistic about Bulgaria’s economy.
