Bulgaria unique across EU for dumping 100% of household waste in dunghills

A survey of the European statistical service EUROSTAT suggests that Bulgaria is the only country in the EU dumping 100% of its household waste in dunghills. Close to the same figure are Romania, Malta, Lithuania and Latvia. The most responsible country nature-wise is Austria which either recycles or processes 70% of its waste. Under the European directive at least 50% of waste should be recycled by 2020, the website euronews wrote.
