Policemen, military, civil servants hold protest in Sofia 

Some 2000 policemen, military and employees from prisons and from the public administration gathered in the center of Sofia on Saturday to protest the idea of the government to make them pay for their social security contributions previously paid by the state budget. Colleagues of protesters in other towns, as well as a group of Romanian policemen, backed the Sofia rally. Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov was not allowed to make a speech and was catcalled.
