Labeling foodstuffs, adding soy to meat standards to get enforced from August
The new standards for adding soy to meat and for labeling foodstuffs will be enforced in the first days of August, Agriculture Minister Miroslav Naydenov said. The addition of soy and other additives to meat products will be monitored, he said and explained that control would go along the whole chain and offenders would be sanctioned immediately. The number of control laboratories is reduced considerably, Naydenov also said. In all likelihood they will be cut down to three.
