Moody’s lowers 6 EU ratings

The international Moody’s rating agency has pulled down the credit rating of Italy, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia and Malta. At the same time the agency preserves the high credit rating of AAA for France, Great Britain and Austria, but changed to “negative” its prognoses for those countries. According to analysts the lowered ratings and prognoses reflect the vulnerability of these nine countries in view of growing financial and macro-economic risks generated by the Euro zone crisis. Germany’s high credit rating remains unchanged.
