Sofia-based Puppet theatre starts new season with International Puppet Fair

The Sofia-based Puppet Theater is opening its new season with the 7th edition of the International Festival for Street and Puppet Theater entitled Puppet Fair that starts today through September 22nd, the organizers report. The festival will feature some of the most celebrated puppet companies from Italy, Greece, France, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Great Britain, Croatia, Bulgaria and other countries. The festival is part of the Calendar of Cultural Events of Sofia Municipality and one of the events on the Day of Sofia. It is carried out in support of Sofia’s candidature for European Capital of Culture in 2019.
