PM Borissov takes part at EU summit in Brussels on June 28-29

State and government leaders of EU member states hold a meeting in Brussels in yet another attempt to stabilize the euro. In addition to the record high levels of unemployment and the economic slow-down in the European economy, the agenda also includes the proposal of the European Commission on setting up a banking union and introducing centralized control on fiscal policy. Germany, France, Italy and Spain expect a positive reaction to their plan on boosting investments by 130 million euro. Bulgaria is represented at the meeting by PM Boyko Borissov who prior to that, took part in a working meeting of the European People’s Party and the presidents of the European Council and European Commission.
