Badminton player Petya Nedelcheva has won a silver medal in Rome
The Bulgarian basketball team of Levski has won 67:66 in a dramatic match against Balkan league champion Feni Industry. Levski has already got 5 victories in the tournament and is first in the chart. Second in the group is the Israeli team of Apoel, while Feni Industry are third. Meanwhile, the Bulgarian basketball champion Lukoil Akademik 77:83 lost its 5th match in Group D of the Eurocup tournament against the Belgian team of Oostende. Still, Akademik has kept its chances for qualifying for the next round after a victory of Valencia against the French team of ASVEL. In the next match Akademik will search for the victory against ASVEL

Best Bulgarian badminton player Petya Nedelcheva has won a silver medal at the international tournament in Rome. At the final the Bulgarian lost 11:21, 17:21 against Chinese Yao Jie, competing for the Netherlands.

Tsvetana Pironkova and Grigor Dimitrov became the best Bulgarian tennis players in 2011. The Bulgarian Tennis Federation gave the prize for the 6th time to 24-year Pironkova, while Dimitrov grabbed the award for the 4th consecutive time. The tennis players will present Bulgaria at the debut of the country at the Hopman Cup international mixed event, which will take place in Perth (Australia) in the beginning of January.

The best Bulgarian female snowboarder Alexandra Zhekova finished 6th in the first start of the World Cup, which took place in the US resort of Telluride. American Lindsey Jacobellis won the race, while Dominique Maltais from Canada remained second. Deborah Anthonioz from France finished third. A total of 25 snowboarders took part in the competition.

Vladimir Zografski took part in the large hill ski jumping World Cup competition in Engelberg, Switzerland. Zografski gained 2 for the World Cup rank list after finishing 29th on Saturday. After the jumps on Sunday, Zografski remained 43rd, while Andreas Kofler from Austria became the winner. Kofler gathered a total of 264.7 points with jumps of 146 and 138 meters. The Austrian is the current leader in the World Cup chart with 508 points, followed by Anders Bardal from Norway with 390 points. Vladimir Zografski currently occupies the 33rd place.

Remi Bizouard from France won the freestyle motocross event, part of the World Championship in the discipline, which took place in Sofia. Bizouard demonstrated unique freestyle tricks in the Arena Hall in the Bulgarian capital and received 417 points at the final. However, Bizoard lost the world title to Javier Villegas. The Night of the Jumps competition was the first of its kind in Bulgaria.
