An alpinist has perished while climbing Mount Elbrus. According to RIA Novosti, he is most probably a Bulgarian national. His body was found yesterday by a group of climbers on their way up. The dead alpinist was found at an altitude of about 4 900 meters in the region of the Pastuhov Rocks. Twelve rescuers were sent to the spot, who could only take the body down. Earlier the climber had registered in the Elbrus rescue team with Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, where he had informed he intended a solo climbing.
