Yacht Club Captain Georgi Georgiev – Port Varna launches for the 41st time the regatta PORT VARNA 2016. After the disputed races in the class Conrad 25 last weekend, the PORT VARNA regatta offers opportunity to the competing crews to get their revenge. In addition, the yachts of the Free Style will compete in maritime races to turning point and aircraft buoys. Troyan Monastery received as a gift a Kotel-made carpet, 200 years of age.  The carpet, which is in very well preserved, is handmade of cotton and wool. It contains the ornamental elements characteristic of the weaving school of the small town of Kotel (in the eastern part of the Balkan Range). The carpet was made in the 18th century as a commission for the Town hall in Sofia, the donor of the carpet, Vanyo Donchev from Veliko Tarnovo explains. Banyo Donchev also gave to the Monastery and to Bishop Sioniy and book “The Bulgarian Monsteries” written by Milyu Popov and published back in 1914.
