600 pupils of Roma origin are to receive scholarships under a joint project of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Education and Science and Roma Education Fund. The project named Support Roma Pupils to Graduate Successfully from High School was based on a model which has been used successfully in Macedonia, Serbia and Slovakia. This school year the participants at the project will receive EUR 30 per month. In 2017 the amount of the scholarship will depend on the social status, the motivation and the results of the pupils.
