Twenty-six leading Bulgarian sportspersons have been included in the test register of the National anti-doping center for 2017. They will be subject to regular checks during and outside sporting events and should necessarily provide information about their whereabouts throughout the year. The number of wrestlers in the list is the biggest including Rio 2016 bronze medalist Elitsa Yankova. There are four athletes including sprint star Ivet Lalova, though high jump vice-Olympic champion Mirela Demireva in the high jump who is also Bulgaria’s top 2016 athlete, has not been listed. Last year the register of the National anti-doping center included the same number of sportspersons.
