Sales of new cars in EU and Bulgaria up

The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) has registered an increase in the sales of new cars in the EU, including Bulgaria.

Sales are up by 7.6 percent in the EU in May, compared to one year earlier and fully compensate for the surprising 6.6 percent drop in April.

In Bulgaria the sale of new cars has gone up in May by 4.6 percent, of registrations – by 16.3 percent compared to a year ago. Sales of cars is a leading index of the state the European economy is in  and data from the first five months of the year are a good sign of the economic development of the EU, experts say.
