What is the image of the Bulgarian teacher today and what do those who chose this profession need? These are just some of the questions we ask whenever we see news about school education issues.Dissatisfaction, fatigue and even annoyance some teachers show while performing their duties affect children and their ability to learn. But there is another side - we have been increasingly seeing examples of teachers who are true inspiration and role models for their students. In return, they receive respect, trust and interest in the subject. Teodora Malinova has beena teacher for four years and has managed to achieve all this, but she is most happy with her pupils' love. Currently she teaches geography in one of the private schools in Sofia. She says she left the state school as she could not reveal her full potential there, but she is grateful to her colleagues for everything she had learned from them. The secret of her success with children is that the teacher turns the lessons into pictures and so the students quickly remember everything they need.

Снимка“My methods are not something unseen and spectacular. I have just found a pathto children in an intuitive way," Teodora Malinovasays about her teaching methods. “Since I have graduated in fine arts, I often use my talent on the whiteboard. I make all sorts of presentations for my students and I show them films. The newest thing I did for them was a test in the form of a comic book. When I thought about it, I saw that tests haven’t changed much over time. But nowpupils are 21st-century children and they love doing such commix tests.”

Parents are very grateful to Mrs. Malinova for the fact their children learn fast and are not stressed.

The young teacher clearly remembers her first meeting with her class - children still did not know her and decided she was a high school student.

When working with children, along with pleasant moments, there are also very serious situations that require quick reactions and solutions. An example of this is a case in which Teodora paid with her own money the exam fee to one of the children who wanted to continue to study at the same school, while parents insisted on moving the child to another. When she told this to colleagues and friends, some of them told her she did not have to do it. Despite this, Mrs. Malinova continues to help everyone in need. She thinks this is the right thing to do and does not accept the idea of being a teacher whose purpose is simply to teach their lesson and leave. According to Teodora Malinova, being humane is very important for her profession. One should be a friend with students and know about their problems. This way a teacher can help students and become a better person each day.
