The Bulgarian language will become an elective subject in Turkish high schools under a decree of the Turkish Ministry of Education.

This will become a fact as schools open for the new school year of 2018-2019, the Anadolu News Agency reports as quoted by BTA.

In this way the Bulgarian language has been added to the list of foreign languages taught in Turkish schools. The decision of the Turkish Ministry of Education has been promulgated in the Turkish Official Gazette and has taken effect.
