The rescue of the Bulgarian Jews is an unprecedented fact in the world history. Not a single Bulgarian Jew was sent to the death camps and we are proud with this fact, Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov told the Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee David Harris in Tel Aviv. Premier Borissov acquainted David Harris with Bulgaria’s commitments as rotating President of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2018 adding that peace is the key word used during the Bulgarian EU Presidency. Boyko Borissov and David Harris discussed the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Israel and Bulgaria’s contribution to the stability and the sustainable development in the Balkans.
