We did a good Presidency job and created a good basis for Austria that it will upgrade, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said at a joint press conference with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and European Council President Donald Tusk in Brussels.

Donald Tusk and Jean-Claude Juncker congratulated the premier for the outstanding and effective Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of EU. They pointed out that Bulgaria had done a truly remarkable job on mapped-out priorities including the European integration of the countries in the Western Balkans.

Regarding the migration crisis, PM Borissov has commented that had Italy, Spain and France made the measures enforced on the Bulgarian border, today the topic of migration would not be on the EU agenda, because only few migrants would cross Europe’s southern borders. This topic is political, and not a migration one, he has explained as quoted by BTA.
