Shooting films with a mobile phone is possible

The possibilities of modern mobile phones are growing as well the creative ideas that can be realized with them. This has been seen in the competition for films shot with a smartphone – Huawei Smartphone Film Festival. The first prize went to the team that created the 10-minute- long “Lyuboven chas”. The film, written by Lyudmila Yordanova, tells the romantic story of a somnambulist who discovered his soul mate in a dream. Journalist Slavi Angelov is in the role of director and cameraman of the film and editing is the work of Metodi Andonov. Teo Chepilov's “Trepachi” won second place and was recognized as the most entertaining film of the competition program. According to the writer, the story was inspired by American comedies from the 90's. Third place went to the movie "Edno DA shte pretsaka Sofia" by the youngest participant in the forum – Lydia Julianova, who is 18 years old. A special award was given to stop motion animation film "Vrah", as its shooting, according to its author Stefan Voivodov, took 12 hours a day for a month.

In the course of the contest, a five-member jury selected 11 finalists who received a smartphone and one month to realize their ideas. The second stage was presentation of the works and selection of the winners.
