From August 8 to September 8, the National Art Gallery in Sofia hosts an intriguing exhibition of 45 large-format paintings created by British artists John Kiki and Darren Barker. John Kiki is the more popular of the two artists as his work is highly praised not only in the UK but also on the international stage. Born in Cyprus in 1943, Kiki grew up in England and studied at the Royal Academy. He defines his creative style as a fusion between figurative abstraction and pop art. His works have been shown in many prestigious art venues such as the Royal Academy, Hayward Gallery and Serpentine in London, OK HARRIS in Soho - New York and more. Darren Barker has studied art, but is currently mainly involved in the conservation and restoration of architectural monuments and photography. In Bulgaria he presents his oil paintings on canvas.
