GERB retains electoral support, but 68% of the people in the big cities want change and new mayors: Alpha Research

48% of the Bulgarians want another political force to be in charge of this country’s government, the latest survey of Alpha Research sociological agency shows. 33% of the respondents support the government headed by GERB party. However, the opposition is strongly divided. 17% of the people support the left-wing Bulgarian Socialist Party, the new political party headed by Slavi Trifonov would earn the support of 12% of the Bulgarians, Democratic Bulgaria is supported by 4.9% of the respondents. The United Patriots coalition would earn the support of 3.8% of the Bulgarians. If early elections were held now, GERB would earn 21.5% of the votes. 47.3% of the Bulgarians expect that new mayors will be elected at the local elections. 68% of the people in the big cities want change and new mayors, the survey further reads.
