Foreign Ministry advises citizens to temporarily refrain from travelling to Israel

Due to the complicated situation in the country, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry has issued temporary recommendation not to travel to Israel. All Bulgarian citizens in Israel are advised not to go to the West Bank, Eastern Jerusalem or the territories around Gaza and Golan.

When they take up accommodation in Israel, all tourists must find out where the nearest bomb shelters are. When they hear sirens signaling an attack, they must make their way to the shelters as quickly as possible where they must wait for the all-clear signal. If there is no shelter, or the shelter is impossible to reach, they must take shelter by the closest wall or barrier. The Bulgarian embassy in Tel Aviv is closed but Bulgarian citizens can call the diplomatic mission there.
