The Bulgaria Economic Forum held traditionally at the end of each year in Sofia has on its agenda now the economic prospects for 2020. As it was pointed out at the opening of the forum, according to the official forecast of the Ministry of Finance, the growth of the national economy over the next three years would remain between 3-3,5% and would be mainly due to consumption. On the labour market there is a continued increase in employment and wages, which in combination with the rise in pensions increases demand. The predicted inflation is about 2 or slightly above 2% and high levels of 7-8% cannot be expected, experts say.
