Putin unhappy because of Bulgaria delaying gas pipeline to Serbia

Bulgaria was deliberately delaying the continuation of the Turkish Stream on its territory, Russian President Vladimir Putin said. Russia would find other options for implementing the Turkish Stream if Bulgaria did not want it, Putin has warned. The Bulgarian Ministry of Energy declined to comment on the statement. According to experts, Putin was ill-informed on the case because the delay in the gas pipeline completion through Bulgarian territory is caused by a complaint of a Russian company that has contested the construction tender. However, Bulgaria adheres to the agreed deadlines and is building 4 to 5 kilometers of the pipeline a day. The entire route to the Serbian-Bulgarian border, which is about 400 km long is expected to be completed within 4 months.
