Twelfth-graders from China study Bulgarian in Veliko Tarnovo

The St Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo signed a contract for ten-month intensive training of Chinese pupils in the 12th grade. The young Chinese pupils study at associated schools with the Beijing Foreign Studies University. The first 10 Asian students already arrived in Bulgaria. Their training includes classes in Bulgarian language, literature, Bulgarian history, etc. When the students complete their education in Veliko Tarnovo they will return to China to join the Beijing Foreign Studies University. In 2 years, they will return again to Bulgaria to continue their studies in Veliko Tarnovo. The Chinese students will receive the so-called double diplomas when they graduate from the university. Another two Chinese universities expressed willingness to join the long-term project.
