The Bulgarian government has allocated € 1.2 million to Saint George the Zograf Monastery, also known as the Zograf Monastery, one of twenty Eastern Orthodox monasteries on Mount Athos in Greece. The funds are needed to complete the monastery renovation and for the reconstruction of the east wing which is uninhabited and in dire straits. The east wing was built 200 years ago.
