The online platform entitled “Virtual Urban Museum” is to be launched, revealing the old urban lifestyle in the town of Dupnitsa in Western Bulgaria and the area. The platform is part of a cross-border cooperation programme between the town of Dupnitsa and the municipality of Kumanovo in North Macedonia. In addition to the virtual project, a gallery, a storage facility and a laboratory will be built in the courtyard of the famous Okolijska House to store and restore valuable paintings and objects.
The online platform will allow any interested internet user to upload archival materials, photos or documents about the old lifestyle and the history of the taken from their private family albums.
The overall financial costs for the implementation of the joint project amount to EUR 500,000 and the implementation deadline is 13 July 2021.
