The Fifth World Holocaust Forum entitled “Remembering the Holocaust” gathers leaders from all parts of the globe to remind us of one of the darkest and most shameful periods of human history and warn us that we must not let this happen ever again. This is what Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said before the beginning of the commemorative ceremony at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Israel which marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp and the Holocaust Remembrance Day. President Radev reminded that Bulgaria rescued the Bulgarian Jews and did not accept these people to be sent to the death camps and called on the countries to join efforts in the fight against antisemitism, xenophobia and hatred.
