Recently, the Bulgarian National Bank put in circulation a commemorative copper coin “125th years since the birth of the celebrated Bulgarian poet Geo Milev”. The coin now costs eight times more than its initial price. The commemorative coin has a nominal value of 2 BGN and was sold by the Bulgarian National Bank for 24 BGN (EUR 12) a piece. The obverse of the coin depicts the emblem of the Bulgarian National Bank. A portrait of Geo Milev and his signature are on the reverse of the coin. In the beginning of 2020, each collector had the right to buy up to two coins. Two weeks later the coin is sold for 180 BGN (EUR 90) at the online tenders.
