Bulgaria and Cyprus discuss partnership in energy sphere

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides arrived in Bulgaria on occasion of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Cyprus. Nikos Christodoulides met with Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov in Sofia. Minister Christodoulides and Premier Borissov agreed that good bilateral cooperation should continue and accentuated on the development of bilateral partnership in the energy sphere. Boyko Borissov underlined that with the construction of the gas interconnector between Greece and Bulgaria the agreement between Israel, Cyprus and Greece on the EastMed pipeline is becoming of great geopolitical importance.
