The NSI reports that in December 2019, about 529,000 Bulgarian citizens traveled abroad, or 10.6% more in comparison to December 2018. The biggest growth in December 2019 was marked by Bulgarians going to Turkey, Greece and Germany. At the same time, there was a decline in travels to France, Sweden, Slovenia. Visits of foreigners to Bulgaria in December 2019 were 673 thousand, or 8.6% more than a year earlier. The share of visits of EU citizens is 55.4%, or 6.4% more than in comparison to the same month of the previous year. Visits from the UK, Italy and Austria have increased the most. Visits from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Belgium decreased the most.
