Bulgarian business prefers to export to Germany and Turkey

38% of companies cite Germany as a country of interest in trade and partnership, according to a survey of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Federal Republic is Bulgaria's largest trading partner. By October 2019, Bulgarian exports to Germany increased by 3.2% and exceeded EUR 3.6 billion, or 15% of all Bulgarian exports. Turkey retains its second place as a desired partner, with China and the US taking the third place, followed by Britain, Greece and Poland.
Bulgarian exports to Turkey have been declining due to the depreciation of the Turkish lira and the inability to buy the same quantities of goods there, but there has been an increase in imports.
With China, there is an increase in commodity exchange. Exports increased by 4.3%, imports by 12%.
