Bulgarians are connoisseurs of home-made canned food and beverages

53% of Bulgarians grow home-made products and prepare their own food and drinks, a study conducted byTrend commissioned by the 24 Chasa daily shows.  

79 percent of people say they consume home-made products because they consider them to be of better quality. As advantages, they point out that they know what they contain, and also that they remind them of their childhood.
Only 20 percent respond that they do not consume home-cooked food and drink. With increasing age, the share of consuming household products also increases. They are mostly in the villages and small towns, but also 1/3 of the citizens of Sofia, the research shows. 
53% of respondents indicate that they consume homemade alcoholic beverages.
