The participants in the anti-government protests are expected to take new action today.
During last night’s protest Prof. Velislav Minekov from the so-called “toxic trio” stated that new protest options were being considered. The aim, he said, is to show Europe, but also the whole world what is happening in Bulgaria.
Many of the protesters say they are not going to give up even if they have to protest in the streets until the regular elections next spring. “Every day we spend here is one percent less for Boyko,” one protester said.
Last night’s protest passed without incident. The protesters in the centre of Sofia were joined by people from the Sofia suburb of Gorubliane. Several hours earlier they organized a protest over unsolved problems in their neighbourhood blocking off the main road artery connecting Sofia with Trakia motorway.
