A steady decline in crime rate since 2010 is seen in the results of an analysis of data from a national crime survey prepared by the Center for the Study of Democracy and presented in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio. The survey shows that in 2019, 60% of victims did not go to the police at all to register crimes for various reasons - they thought that the crime was not serious enough, did not believe that the police would do something or because of other reasons.
