The European Commission has approved a state aid scheme to the tune of nearly EUR 26 million for Bulgarian tour operators and travel agents, the European Commission has announced today, BNT reported.
The state aid will be in the form of direct grants. It will be used by tour operators and travel agents to refund customers whose travel packages have been canceled between 1 March and 31 December 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic and to cover costs of their main activities during the period.
