Hospitals in Sofia suspend inoculation during the “green corridors” over shortage of vaccines

Inoculation against Covid-19 during the so-called “green corridors” has been temporarily suspended due to the shortage of vaccines, the Military Medical Academy has announced. However, immunization against Covid-19 under the National Vaccination Plan continues. Those who were already vaccinated against the novel coronavirus can also receive their second dose of Covid-19 vaccine. It also became clear that the vaccination office at St. Anna Hospital has also ran out of Covid-19 vaccines. The vaccination offices will resume work when they receive new quantities of vaccines.

"When the EU had to pay millions of euros for vaccines, it did it in a timely manner. Now, big vaccine manufacturers fail to fulfill their contractual obligations and put our vaccine plans at risk", commented Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov on Facebook.
