“This is the last peak of the Covid-19 epidemic in Bulgaria and it is expected to last another 2-3 weeks,” Chief State Health Inspector Associate Professor Angel Kunchev commented for BNT.
In his words, the spring and summer will be a time when things will be looking up, as was the case in 2020. Referring to predictions made by researchers, Assoc. Romania imposes coronavirus restrictions on arrivals

As of 9 PM tonight, 6 March, restrictions are enforced in Romania on arrivals from Bulgaria, which is on the list of countries from the so-called “yellow zone”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced.
Arrivals who present a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to entry into Romania are subject to 10-day home quarantine. If their stay is up to three days and they have presented a negative PCR test taken up to 72 hours prior to entry into Romania no quarantine is imposed. Arrivals from Bulgaria who do not present such a test upon entry into Romania are subject to 14-day home quarantine. The test results can be in paper or electronic form but they must have been issued by an authorized laboratory and contain identification data of the person tested.
No test is required for children up to the age of three, or for persons who have been revaccinated or have had Covid-19 and have recovered in the past 90 days.
Transit passengers across the territory of Romania arriving from countries from the so-called “yellow zone”, including Bulgaria are not included in the listed exceptions from the requirement to present a negative RT-PCR test!

20% of the newly registered Covid-19 cases are among young people and children: Chief State Health Inspector

The virus is now spreading in kindergartens and in schools. Not only does the virus spread more easily but its symptoms are reminiscent of an ordinary cold – stuffed nose, throat irritation, coughing, Chief State Health Inspector, Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev said for BNT.
The results of the testing of 600 samples are expected at the beginning of the week. They are of cases in which the disease is progressing differently and the test data are different which raises doubts that they might be variants different from classical Covid -19.
