The original sword of Georgi Stoykov Rakovski, owned by the Regional Museum of History-Ruse is being exhibited at the Regional History Museum in Plovdiv this month. Georgi Rakovski’s sword is among the highlights of the exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary since the birth of the founder of the Bulgarian national-liberation movement. The exhibition will be open for visitors until the end of June.
The sword of the Bulgarian revolutionary was found in an old house in the village of Novo Selo (Ruse District) in 1955. It is part of the collection of the Regional Museum of History-Ruse.
