Central Election Commission sees no campaigning in caretaker cabinet’s statements

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has dismissed the complaint lodged by one of the coalitions registered for participation in the parliamentary elections in July, against interim Prime Minister Stefan Yanev and ministers from the caretaker government.

The coalition regards “numerous unproven allegations and statements” as a violation, urging support for other political parties and  constituting a direct call not to support the appellants.

The Central Election Commission states that it sees the statements and quotations as only containing information pertaining to the work of the caretaker government and work reporting.

The CEC failed to approve methodological guidelines for the work of the section election commissions.
