Fitch forecasts economic growth of up to 4.7% this year

The international agency Fitch confirmed the long-term credit rating of this country as ‘BBB’ with a positive outlook. Economic growth is expected to accelerate to 4.7% this year.

According to the agency, the short-term negative risks associated with the Covid-19 pandemic and election uncertainty are offset by the possibility for significant EU financial resources and the Recovery and Sustainability Plan. The low coronavirus vaccination rate compared to the EU average poses risks. Another finding of experts is that the plan for the introduction of the euro in 2024 is realistic.
